นายปภาวิน ทับสุวรรณ ผู้สื่อข่าวหนังสือพิมพ์มติรัฐ ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการว่าด้วยสิ่งแวดล้อมและการพัฒนา สมัยที่ 9 (CED9) ระหว่างวันที่ 1-3 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2569 ณ ศูนย์ประชุมสหประชาชาติ (UNCC) กรุงเทพมหานคร
สำหรับการประชุมคณะกรรมการว่าด้วยสิ่งแวดล้อมและการพัฒนา สมัยที่ 9 (CED9) เป็นการประชุมภายใต้คณะกรรมาธิการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติสำหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (ESCAP) ซึ่งจะมีการประชุมทุก 2 ปี เพื่อทบทวนแนวโน้มระดับภูมิภาค จัดลำดับความสำคัญในการดำเนินการ ส่งเสริมการเจรจา เพื่อพิจารณาจุดยืนร่วมกันของภูมิภาค และส่งเสริมแนวทางความร่วมมือในการแก้ไขปัญหาการพัฒนาของภูมิภาคระหว่างรัฐบาล ภาคประชาสังคม ภาคเอกชน และองค์กรภายใต้สหประชาชาติและองค์กรระหว่างประเทศอื่นๆ คณะกรรมการจะให้คำแนะนำแก่คณะกรรมาธิการ โดยทุกสี่ปีจะมีการประชุมในระดับรัฐมนตรีเพื่อให้คำแนะนำระดับสูง
สำหรับกำหนดการประชุมคณะกรรมการว่าด้วยสิ่งแวดล้อมและการพัฒนา สมัยที่ 9 (CED9) ระหว่างวันที่ 1-3 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2569 นั้น ในวันที่ 1 จะเป็นการประชุมหารือในระดับรัฐมนตรี ส่วนวันที่ 2-3 จะจะเป็นการประชุมหารือในระดับเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อทบทวนสถานการณ์และแนวโน้มด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและการพัฒนาในภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิก พร้อมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเชิงนโยบาย และเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในการขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน โดยผลจากการประชุมนั้นได้นำไปสู่การรับรองร่างปฏิญญารัฐมนตรีว่าด้วยสิ่งแวดล้อมและการพัฒนา ค.ศ. 2026 และร่างแผนปฏิบัติการระดับภูมิภาคว่าด้วยการส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ค.ศ. 2026-2030 ซึ่งจะช่วยส่งเสริมการดำเนินงานร่วมกันเพื่อไปสู่การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนต่อไป
Mr. Paphawin Tubsuwan a reporter for Matirat Newspaper, attended the 9th Session of the Committee on Environment and Development (CED9) held from 1–3 July 2026 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok Thailand.
The 9th Session of the Committee on Environment and Development (CED9) was convened under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ESCAP The Committee meets every two years to review regional environmental and development trends identify priority areas for action promote policy dialogue, develop common regional positions and strengthen cooperation among governments civil society the private sector United Nations agencies and other international organizations in addressing regional development challenges. The Committee provides recommendations to ESCAP while a ministerial-level session is convened every four years to offer high-level policy guidance.
According to the meeting agenda 1 July 2026 was dedicated to the ministerial segment while 2–3 July 2026 focused on discussions among senior officials and relevant stakeholders.
The meeting aimed to review the environmental and development situation and emerging trends across the Asia-Pacific region exchange policy perspectives and enhance regional cooperation in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The outcomes of the meeting included the adoption of the 2026 Ministerial Declaration on Environment and Development and the Regional Action Plan on Advancing Connectivity for Sustainable Development (2026–2030) These landmark documents are expected to strengthen regional collaboration and support continued progress toward sustainable development throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
